Steps

  1. Identify the topics that you want the group to align on.

  2. Preparation is key:
    Write out clear guiding principles, solutions ...
    Present as a starting point.

  3. Allow group to ask clarifying questions to understand the proposal (so not a debate, yet.)

  4. Avoid rabbit holing into the details.

  5. Rather, ask the group: "Do you see any reasons to object?"

  6. Discuss objections with the group.
    When these prove valid, integrate into statements and do new round.
