Event Storming is a collaborative workshop technique with roots in Domain-driven design.

Steps

  1. Invite stakeholders from business, user experience, architecture and development domains

  2. Provide a big empty canvas with a timeline and differently coloured post-its

  3. Have the different stakeholders write down all the domain events in past tense and put them on the canvas

  4. Find the relations and boundaries in between the domains

  5. Map the policies that are enforced in the process

  6. Identify opportunities and problems that need to be discussed
